ASICS INFORMATION
Technology
Asics has been developing sport shoes for fifty years now without loosing sight of their principles.
All investigation, which takes place in the Research and Development Centre in the Japanese city Kobe, is based on scientific research and happens in cooperation with sportsmen from every level with only one purpose: the development of advanced products that will help the athlete to reach its goal.
ASICS TECHNOLOGIES
IGS
Impact guidance system. The most natural foot-unwinding is acquired through specific construction of the midsole.
Duo Max
DuoMax. Patented ASICS-system which withstands overpronation because of the use of two hardnesses in the sole.
spEVA
spEVA. Due to the special composition, the midsole needs less time to adopt its original form. Because of this, the unwinding proceeds easier and it will cost the runner less energy.
Gel
Gel. To offer an maximum shock absorption and optimal comfort, the Asics GEL units are strategically placed in the midsole. Depending the function, the GEL consists a silicon based substance.
Trusstic
Trusstic. A synthetic element placed underneath the midfoot gives extra stability to the foot and also works weight saving.
DuoSole
DuoSole. A modernized view on soles. Developed to make the sole light, flexible & grip and wear down solid.
Biomorphic
Biomorphic. During the unwinding of the foot, the biomorphic technology takes care of an minimal deformation of the upper part. Because of this, an excellent fit is guaranteed, there will be improved achievements and less chance of injuries.
DuoTruss
DuoTruss. An advanced system which creates a space between the Trusstic and the midsole, through which a natural and more efficient foot movement will be possible.
Space Trusstic
Space Trusstic. An advanced system which creates a space between the Trusstic and the midsole, through which a natural and more efficient foot movement will be possible.
DuraSponge
DuraSponge. Blown rubber outsidesole with a very good wear down resistance for a longer lifespan, which takes care for extra comfort and shockcushioning.
ASICS FEATURES
Ahar
Ahar. ASICS High Abrasion Rubber (AHAR) looks after a minimum wearing down of the sole.
Flex grooves
Flex grooves. Situated in the front foot and/or heel part for a better flexibility and shock absorption.
A-symmetric heel
A-symmetric heel. Light rounded heel which provides a better contact at the first landing phase and decreases pronation.
Ahar+
Ahar+. A thinner and lighter version of the AHAR which is put on those places of the sole, where the wear down is the biggest.
Wet grip rubber
Wet grip rubber. The combination of rice, rubber and textile provides the sole with an excellent grip for dry, as well as wet undergrounds.
SPeva lasted
SPeva lasted. The hardness of the SPEVA board is adjusted to the physical need of the athlete.
Stability cradle
Stability cradle. This system gives the heel and the midfoot an extra stability by for-and sideward movements.
Rhynoskin
Rhynoskin. Synthetic leather placed on the nose of the shoe to prevent them from getting used up because of the drag-movement.
Comfordry sockliner
Comfordry sockliner. Due to the use of two functional Ortholyte materials, this sockliner is extremely breathing, comfortable, lasting and adjusts himself completely to the foot of the user.
Personal heel fit
Personal heel fit. PHF is a memory foam in the heel-cap which settles down to the individual foot form.
Anti gravel tongue
Anti gravel tongue. A special tongue-construction which prevents the shoe from entrance of gravel.
